Hello from your local Melton Mowbray Newborn Photographer, and before we go any further, let me say a massive congratulations on your new addition!
Our precious babies are not babies for long! As a Mum of two grown-up daughters, I have witnessed first-hand just how quickly that time flies!
Our babies change so much and so quickly that you can almost see it happening right before your eyes. The first two weeks, they change so much, making it the perfect time to capture those moments that you never get back, or we can never remember due to sleep deprivation!
During the first couple of weeks outside of the womb, babies are also very bendable and squishy and perfect for those traditional posed newborn shots. But don’t worry if you missed getting baby booked in for those first two weeks; we can still get some incredible photos up to six or even eight weeks! They may not be as bendable, but thats ok; we can switch the session to lifestyle shots. We can also get those beautiful eyes open images that are just as stunning to capture.
I can do traditional swaddled fine art images on your session or more informal candid and natural poses or a mixture of both. Of course, images with parents and siblings are also available as standard. We will make arrangements to include siblings at your consultation.

What do you get from your Newborn Session?
Newborn Sessions are between 3 to 4 hours duration
Multiple studio setups, props, and wraps.
Parents and siblings are included.
All Collections are PRINT Collections
Your chosen Print Collection will come with matching Digitals.
Matching Digitals are delivered as both High Resolution; and come with full printing rights and Low Resolution, suitable for sharing on social media.
All Digitals come in both colour and black & white versions.
A £50.00 non-refundable Session Fee is required upon booking, and this will be deducted from your chosen Collection price below.

After Your NEWBORN Session
Once your session with your Melton Mowbray Newborn Photographer is complete and you get back home, I will then busy myself away professionally editing all the best images.
I will ask you to book a Viewing Appointment where you get to sit back with a glass of something sparkling (other drinks are available!) and enjoy your personalised slideshow of all your new family’s beautiful images.
It is now you choose which images to include in your selected Collection, choose your Wall Art, and pay your Session balance.
You can, of course, always upgrade your Collection at this appointment, should you not be able to choose between them all.
Albums + Fine Art
Once you have chosen your Collection, we can then discuss the various ways you can display your favourite images in your home to cherish forever, and of course, to show off to your friends and family!
Your Heirloom
Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose
I offer many wall art styles and frames to display your favourite images and sizes to suit all homes and wall space.
To make the most of your heirloom, I will discuss the most suitable wall art for you and the images in question at your Viewing Appointment.

YOUR QUESTIONS
Booking your Newborn session is advisable no later than 30 weeks gestation, or you can do as early as your 20 week scan to ensure you get your slot! I will pencil in your due date, but I always have ’emergency appointments’ set aside a few weeks either side to ensure you are guaranteed your session should baby come early or late.
Typically sessions are carried out between 4 and 14 days, as this is the perfect time to get all those squidgy squishy poses! But I can still do them all the way up to 6 or even 8 weeks young! We may not be able to get those squishy poses at this age, but older Newborns can give us those beautiful ‘eyes open’ shots so don’t panic of you feel you have missed the boat.
Your session will be carried out in my home studio, in which I have set aside a cosy area for you to change baby or to sit and feed baby in comfort, warmth, and privacy. Newborn sessions are always longer than standard sessions for this very reason, so is no need to rush.
