Before we go any further, let me say a massive congratulations on your new addition!
Our precious babies are not babies for long! As a Mum of two grown-up daughters, and a Nanny, I have witnessed first-hand how quickly that time flies!
Babies alter so quickly that you can almost see it happening before your eyes. This makes the first few weeks and months the perfect time to capture those moments you never get back or can never remember due to sleep deprivation!
Who Are The Photoshoots for?
The best time to get natural lifestyle newborn and baby images in my Melton Mowbray studio is within the first two week and up to four months after the baby is born. As my sessions are mainly lifestyle, candid images, you don’t have to panic if you forgot to get booked in for the first few weeks, as we can do these types of sessions all the way through to when baby is sitting unaided! There is no rush!
During the early weeks, babies are typically still very sleepy and are more likely to stay in poses that are ideal for capturing posed and wrapped beautiful images. The appeal of lifestyle newborn images is that we can do them whenever you wish, no rush to book, as I aim to capture those natural, peaceful and intimate moments between the parents and their newborn, rather than wrapping and posing baby (although I can do this style of posing, if you require).
These natural, documentary style images provide a unique and timeless look that will forever remind the parents of their newborn‘s early days and will be cherished for years to come.

AFTER Your Baby Photoshoot
Once your Newborn Photoshoot is complete you will be asked to book in a viewing appointment at my Melton Mowbray studio, where you get to sit back and enjoy a slideshow of all your gallery images, choose your favourites, and purchase the Collection that suits from the choices above.
A little about me
I am also a daft old bat who loves snuggles, so you can be assured that your precious little bundles are not only in the safest of hands but, in true ‘Nanny Style‘, that they will probably get snuggled to within an inch of their life whilst here!

Your Questions
Booking your Newborn Photoshoot is advisable to book whenever you feel ready to! As my sessions are lifestyle sessions, there is no fixed window to book. Obviously, you will want to guarantee your spot, so it is advisable to book as soon as possible, but there is no rush, and I will always have emergency slots available to fit you and baby in.
As I specialise in Lifestyle sessions, there is no need to panic, as I can do newborn sessions at any age! As soon as baby starts to sit up unaided, we can swap the session up to a ‘Sitter Session’, so don’t panic if you feel you have missed the boat for your newborn session, I got you!
Your session will be carried out in my home studio, in which I have set aside a cosy area for you to change baby or to sit and feed baby in comfort, warmth, and privacy. Newborn sessions are always longer than standard sessions for this very reason, so is no need to rush.
